On Thursday’s morning shows, all three networks seemed to take delight in showing "MC Rove" ham it up for Wednesday night’s Radio & Television Correspondents Association dinner.
None, however, showed the video footage of the distinguished Brian Williams, anchor of the "NBC Nightly News," burping the "Battle Hymn of the Republic."
The Los Angeles Times, one media outlet that did report the event, covered it this way:
For their first act, [comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood] recruited NBC anchor Williams and Cheryl Gould, senior vice president of NBC News, to deliver the sound effects for a nonsensical skit about a hunter and a lawyer -- one that culminated with the two volunteers burping "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" to the incredulous delight of their colleagues.
I said it before, I think these correspondents dinners are disgraceful. People whose sole concern it is to ruin people's lives..and then they all come together to laugh and drink while men and women are dying overseas. It makes me ill.
Belching the Battle Hyme of the Republic? Just shows you how patriotic these media types really are. But MC Rove, that was the funniest thing I've seen in a decade.

Brian Williams' idiocy is no reflection on Bush or Rove. But I must say that having a party and laughing it up is one thing, but having a party and laughing it up with these scumbag traitors is something else. Lie down with dogs.
The media is having fun at our Presidents expense, everyday in the Media. How could anyone stomach being around people that truly loathe everything you stand for? I for one could not.

I'm not saying that. YOU are not the CIC or Rove. These men are responsible for serious things. They need to act like serious people. And can't you see that they are not being laughed "with" by the people that hate them? They are being laughed at. And that is pathetic.
