An ICTY press briefing dated 6 July 2005 noted that the number of Serb deaths in the region alleged by the Serbian authorities had increased from 1400 to 3500, a figure the ICTY stated "just does not reflect the reality." Honor those who lost lives, don't compromise them with your lies. http://www.un.org/icty/briefing/2005/PB050706.htm
When I hear these revisionists trying to diminish the Srebrenica genocide, words of Dobrica Cosic, former Yugoslav president, a Serb, come to my mind: We lie to deceive ourselves, to console others; we lie for mercy, we lie to fight fear, to encourage ourselves, to hide our and somebody elses misery. We lie for love and honesty. We lie because freedom. The lie is the trait of our patriotism and the proof of our innate smartness. We lie creatively, imaginatively, inventively.
Oh please apply the barf alert to your post, we are shooting for accuracy here. Quoting Dobrica Cosic about Bosnia is like quoting Murtha about Iraq.
Jasenovac was a true genocide - civilians, women, children and babies - were tortured and murdered.
An exaggerated amount of head-cutting military Muslims who died during a war is not genocide.
Plus many of the allegedly genocided men are living in Tuzla, Sarajevo, U.S. cities and other places.
Several thousands of Bosnian Muslim men, including the military, were pouring into Tuzla within the weeks following the "fall" of Srebrenica.
The Muslims ordered their men and military out before there was even fighting, which enabled the Serbs to just walk in - to a trap. With them blamed for separating men and women which had ALREADY happened according to UN and the Bosnian Muslim military command left in Srebrenica. Everything was set up for evacuation due to some prearranged plan.
English is probably not your first language. You've completely missed the actual meaning of Cosic's words on top of taking them completely out of context.
Some have even gone as far as quoting just the last sentence in order to make their ridiculous claims re. Bosnia appear more believable.
