Sleeping giant is already up and had two smokes and a cup of coffee.

No one here noticed.

What about Jeff Head?
I think he "noticed" a lot of things several years ago.

Most don't know this. It is not taught in the public schools. However, FedGov knows and so does Taiwan. If Taiwan claims independence, it will be independence from the USA.

Taiwan is a Territory of the USA.

And Taiwan is the capital of China, ergo/therefore China is a territory of the USA.

How much?

Doesn't help when so many US companies deliberately and directly or indirectly provide military data to China (Loral, ITT come to mind).

"They think the American people would turn tail and run for the mountains."

The Nationalist Chinese are guests on Taiwan. They are gov't in exile of China. Taipei is not the Capital of China.

The surprise for anyone who would attempt to step on our soil in an act of war would be the folks who keep handguns in their homes.

Not if the soil they stepped on 1st was San Fransisco

Here as in the USofA

Not here, as in Free Republic.

I'm on the Japan ping list, courtesy of DTogo. This is no surprise to us at all.

Probably we don't want it. Actually probably nobody wants it. Perhaps a trading colony near but not too near would do for most purposes.

I'll take it if nobody wants it.

Paaaaaallleeeaaase.

Has China ever defeated an enemy that actually fought back? Yea, I know they gave us Sun Tsu. But their history makes you believe they forgot everything he wrote in the couple millennia that followed.

But our economy has lost its manufacturing base relative to other countries.

Right. In 2005 we only made more than China and Japan, combined. I blame WalMart!

All it would take is one cruise missle hit on the Three Gorges Dam and we win.

But China ain't doing jack though, with their one child policy nobody there wants to risk losing their only son or daughter. If the Chi-coms did start a war they'd have a bigger problem with their citizens revolting.

"The surprise for anyone who would attempt to step on our soil in an act of war would be the folks who keep handguns in their homes.

I can imagine that they would muster together and make it a real challenge, to say the least."

Even more so those folks that have an "assault rifle" or other long arm. Every one of those will be worth ten pistols.

Another excellent reason not to dilute the 2nd Amendment.

China nothing. The Democratic Party will defeat the US before anyone else gets a chancce.

Come to think of it, here's a conspiracy for thought. What if 9/11 was a conspiracy, not a Republican conspiracy, but a Democrat conspiracy?

- Look at how the Democrats acted before 9/11.
- Look at how they are acting since 9/11.
- You have Bill Clinton passing up opportunities to nab Osama.
- You have European nations going against us in the UN over removing Saddam, even though their intelligence matched up with our own.
- You have Democrat Senators visiting countries that we are not in good standing with.
- You have Democrat Senators leaking classified military information.
- You have Democrat Senators scheming to put the pieces in place to impeach the President.
- You have Democrat Senators fighting for our surrender in Iraq.
- You have Democrat Senators proposing tying our hands on Iran before we take action.
- You have Democrat PACs on a non-stop barrage to smear the good reputation of the United States even further.

I could go on and on. What if the PNAC theory was true that it would take a disaster on par with Pearl Harbor to persuade the Americans into battle, but it was all a setup? As America stood up to fight the islamists, all others would not only stand down, but would band together against us and the Democrat Party would be assigned to attack from within.

now applying multi-layered tin foil suit.....
