I had a liberal try that line on me. It's simple to refute but liberals being idiots they never think before speaking.
The reply to this is easy. If it is such a great economic boom, why exlude China, India and so many other countries? To "save" them from economic prosperity? If it brings such a great economic boom, why does there have to be a Kyoto protocol that forces countries to join? Wouldn't all countries be rushing to join the boom? Why does it have to be imposed?

I though no First World Country really abided by Koyoto, it was just pledged to or something.

Enforced, it'd wreck any country's economy.
