Thompson’s spokesman Mark Corallo took issue with the statement.
"Thompson is indeed a Christian,” he said. "He was baptized into the Church of Christ.”
and I am Catholic....so I guess I'm not one by Dobsons biased standards either.....so who gives a rats @$$, anyway?
Another tempest in a teapot, whipped up the by MSM, to slime TWO good conservatives.
A very powerful statement for Dr. Dobson to make..IMHO... IF Fred Thompson is to continue to get the support from evengelical Christians I think he needs to say more about his faith than that... just my 2 cents worth.. does anyone have more on this?
Dobson didn't mean Christian as in not Muslim, Buddist, Hindu, etc. And he did explain what he meant. So what is the problem here?

I disagree.. it is important.. because if ONE CLAIMS to be a Christian and IS NOT.. that is called pandering to Christians.. and I as a Christian take issue with that.. just like if I CLAIMED to be a Catholic and was NOT.. I would HOPE that you would take issue with that.
or if I claimed to be a POLICE OFFICER... and was not.. that would be criminal...

I would not dispute that either.. I have many Catholic FRiends, and I take no issue with it.... I am not a catholic,, but if I claimed to be a catholic to appease catholics would Catholics take issue with that?
The harm that this silly lightweight man does to the republican party is beyond belief.

You want Thompson to perform a song and dance act? Get a bigger megaphone? Send smoke signals?
I have great respect fot the man who can "call a spade a spade".... and Dr. Dobson is one of those men...
