Saudi King Abdullah opens Riyadh Arab summit with attack on US deployment in Iraq as “illegitimate foreign occupation”

DEBKAfile reports that in an interview before the summit opened March 28, Saudi FM Saud al Faisal set limits on Arab willingness to help US Middle East efforts. The prince said: “What we have the power to do in the Arab world, we think we have done.”

He went on to say: “If Israel refuses (Ed. the Saudi peace plan), that means it doesn’t want peace and places everything back into the hands of fate - not in the hands of the peacemakers but in the hands of the ‘lords of war.’”

WTF? Wahabis drinking the kool-aid now! Translated, "We are ingrates and you should have let Saddam steamroll us in 1992. We are not going to try to find peace anymore because we know the Dems are selling you down the river. If Israel does not accept our terms it means they don't want peace and we therefore have a right to stand around and watch Iran annihilate Israel.

END MIDDLEEAST OIL DEPENDENCY NOW

The Rats sent the message, AMERICA DOESN`T HAVE THE GUTS TO DEFEND IT`S FRIENDS, so the Saudi King is looking for new friends. This is a surprise?

The King agrees with the US Congress apparently. And he's stepping forward to lead since we're not going to. They had better do something and quick. He lives in the neighborhood, and the neighborhood is getting a whole lot more dangerous since the '06 elections.

The king has chaos on his border and a resurgent Iran just about 50 miles away by sea. And the US Congress has just voted to turn Iraq into Viet Nam part deux.

These sand lizards who happen to be controlling the world's oil supply forget that everyone else wants to own it and they have no physical force capable of keeping it...we need to remind them that only our military might keeps them in power...so without us, you don't exist in your billion dollar palaces and yachts...get the picture, sand lizards!!!!

Surprise?

Slightly, seeing that we are the only thing standing between them and Iran/Al Qaeda....

You'd think they'd be looking down the road further than the next couple of years...

OTOH, the way they are building their friggin' mosques, they might be betting the US will not exist in a couple of years...:/

They'd be wrong of course...;/

Drinking it? Who do you think invented it? It's no accident most of he 911 hijackers came from SA. Just look at what SA has done to Pakistan by funding the radicals and the madrasses, not to mention AQ... Drinking it? No, they invented it.

I agree with you. But we just announced that we won't fight.

Congress has with one stroke destabilized the middle east. The war won't end when we leave Iraq, just as the war did not start when we entered it. This is a long war, and Congress may think it can wash its hands of it, but they are mistaken.

Hmmmm, interesting.

So what do we have here?

The SUnni's in Anbar are fighting Al Qaeda....and still want us gone...

We leave thanks to the Dems...what stops Al Qaeda from taking them down?...The Sunnis fighting Al Qaeda now?

Apparently they think so...

That tells me they have not been as forceful in helping in Iraq as we would have liked...very dissappointing but again not surprising.

The thinng that gets me is if we know this, why in the hell are we letting them build all the damn mosques all over the place here in the US? Something isn't adding up....

...get the picture, sand lizards!!!!

That's what I was thinking at first...until I realized I'd have to pay $10 a gallon for gas for a couple of years...along with the price of everything else going up....

That's still an option if we could figure a way around the energy issue...;)

Possible translation:

We have received the nukes from Pakistan and don't need the American any more.

Drinking it? No, they invented it.

Good point. SO the only reason we tolerate this nonsense is because of our energy interests...

I note that whenever we've tried to move away from ME oil before the Dems block us...that whole redistribution of wealth crap....:/ What are they going to sell us if not oil!? Camel hair?

Ethanol is not the answer IMHO...crops are vulernable to terror attacks...hmmmm

I read in a book about the BCCI Banking Scandal and it said that the Saudi's funded the whole Pakistan ('Muslim Bomb') nuclear program through the BCCI bank.

The issue is simple.. tell the sand lizards that only the U.S. has the superior military power to either protect or to take away their oil fields and then tell them that we will not protect their phony kingdoms unless they stop their B.S. suport of terrorism...and their collective attempt to destroy Israel. It is time to stop pussyfooting around with these bastards...tell them what we want or else we will crush the whole middle east!

And I ask you what can they do about such a confrontation...not a damn thing, because we have enough firepower to turn the entire middle east into a glass parking lot and they know it.....we need to remind them of that, NOW!

One reason for the surge is to "send a message" both to the Arabs and Iranians that we intended to be a player in this game. Our position vis a vis Iran is not so weak as the hysterian would lead one to believe. The Isarelis, against all predictions, dropped the ball last summer, which has greatly encouraged both the Arabs and the Iranians, but I ran is a regime totering on collapse, with significant rebellions in its Kurdish provinces and restiveness in its core constituency. The Arabs, regimes, simply cannot defend themselves.
