This is absolute BS. Their property and businesses should be seized and they should be in jail.
Ultimately this is a fairness issue. Illegals have:
1. jumped the legal immigration line in front of many other more desirable immigrants with badly needed technical skills.
2. taken jobs away from US citizens.
3. lowered the wages of US citizens by competing with them in the marketplace.
4. increased housing and other costs for US citizens by competing with legitimate homeowners and renters in the marketplace.
5. used our emergency rooms as clinics at great expense to taxpayers.
6. used our schools for their children at great expense to taxpayers.
7. used our insurance to fund their irresponsibility.
8. overcrowded our prisons due to their penchant for committing crimes.
9. failed to pay taxes by working on a cash basis for corrupt employers.
10. historically brought on-average 18-20 of their indigent relatives to this country to subsist on public assistance after receiving amnesty.
11. forced legitimate businessmen out of business who use legal US citizens for their business and can't compete with businesses that employ illegals.
12. enriched cheating employers who skirt the laws with impunity through their well-payed political connections.
These b@$t@rds should be hanged for encouraging illegal immigration and saddling taxpayers with paying benefits to their illegal employees.
Agreed. It isn't really 'enforcing' the law when the sentence is so much lighter than the maximum the law allows for.
I can't see other employers being discouraged from hiring illegals when this is the kind of slap on the wrist other employers have received.
