My prediction (hopefully I'm wrong) is that Hillary will win in Nov. 2008 ... with the media firmly touting her and the republicans running another weak campaign (playing it too safe and comprising too much).!

There would have to be something like 75% of registered voters who would not, under any circumstances, vote for Herself, the Cold and Joyless, before Herself would consider withdrawing.

Herself does not NEED 50% of the vote. A third-party ringer will be sent in to garner 15-20% of the vote, and Herself will blow into office with a 43% plurality.

This, of course, is considered an overwhelming mandate, but Herself may have to move quickly to consolidate that "mandate".

We'll just have to give children the vote.

She doesn't need 50% - her husband only 49% in 1996...

Bet's more than that; but I am sure they want to play the fair and equal game again. You 50% here and 50 % there. What a joke. How about the truth?

If you want to put it that way, few if any people in elected office have been chosen by over 50 percent of adults.

However, of those who bothered to participate in the Democratic process...

(BTW--Bush got 52 percent in 2004.)

Hitlery will set the record for the greatest negative turnout in the history of American presidential politics. TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!

I just cannot imagine that a majority of VOTERS when faced with her name on the ballot would choose her over another choice.

I know, and Bill Clinton had over 50% of the voters vote against him in both of his victories, and Dubya not only had less than 50% vote for him in 2000, but he also came in 2nd in the popular vote.

Pat Buchanan was on PMSNBC earlier and saying this poll is actually good news for Hillary because she already has 36% of the vote and only needs to gain 10%-15% to be ensured of victory.

He almost sound gleeful @ this prospect.

I really hope the Dems make Hillary
the nominee. Can't you just imagine the
debates. When Hillary raises her voice
it's like finger nails slowly being
pulled across a chalkboard.
I think that might just cut across
party lines.
