--The republicans actually thought it would be great for the dems to "ruin things" for a while.---

I use to think like that, and now I know we have to fight fire with fire. I'm tired of playing nice. I will scream in the face of a liberal if I have to. I don't care who likes me or not. I will not roll over this time.

Sadly, your new found fight is not prevalent in the republican party. If you speak to republican "leaders" and try to explain that they need to fight back, they will not even bother to patronize you. They will stare at you blankly as if they are in the presence of a crazy person.

Best example: democrat leaders actually called President Bush a racist murderer over hurricane katrina. No ifs ands or buts. President Bush's response was to apologize.

You know, all this "not fighting" happens for a reason. The republicans don't have any fight in them. I see the boat sinking, but I'm just one of the millions of passengers going down with the ship. The captain and crew have deserted. Leadership matters. Right now, we are sunk.
