Another agent headed for prison, I'm sure.

One of my all time favorites too.

Whoa! Look at that barrel!

Is that a Thompson Semi-Automatic Carbine, Model of 1927A1?

Or... are you jjjjjjust happy to see me?

At least this Illegal won't get immunity and a chance to sue our government from Johnny Sutton.

I don't know, but that burning gunpowder will surely increase his carbon footprint;)

"This isn't the first shooting in this area and it won't be the last."

Certainly be the last that one particular dirtag is involved in.

"Thank goodness they didn't use a .50 cal sniper rifle. We would have never heard the end of that."

Woulda been a net save to the taxpayer, though;
instead of an ambulance they could have merely sent a couple guys with pressure washers and a coal shovel...

The Model of 1927A1 Thompson Semi-Automatic Carbine is the version made by Auto-Ordnance of West Hurley, New York, for the civilian gun market from 1974 to 1999. The barrel length of a 1927A1 is 16.5 inch.

Mine is a Fully Automatic Model 1928 marked "Property of US Navy." The barrel length is 10.5 inches...

Which proves longer is not always better!

Even Charlie Bronson... learned that at an early age!

Congrats on your 1928. I admit I'm a tad jealous......
I wish I had one........

When it comes to the 'ol tried and true .45....
I own a couple of these.........

Now that's what ya call "short". LOL
Best handgun ever made. The 1911A1. IMHO

Bender, it's no wonder Fry loves ya.

I do too:

You managed to find images of #1 my favourite automatic firearm, #2 my favourite idiot, and #3 my favourite replicant.

who knows, perhaps you'll even find my favourite female evil scientist someday. (Hint, she created Kryten).

LOL

Do you mean Professor Mamet or... Jenny Agutter's character Jessica 6 when I met her while she was filming Logan's Run in 1976. I was an extra and also worked as an Extra Wrangler on that shoot at the Dallas Trade Mart...

Gad, she was a babe then! And... still is!

My only regret... is that I did not get any of her good looks!

Hey, it is nice... to be loved!

But I think it is better... to be drop dead good looking and loved!

I heard the fifty round drum magazine had problems with jamming. Is that true?

Well, the reporters could be given these guns;

They would surely have a story to tell after that - or not!

I'm not sure about that. I've never owned a Thompson myself and only shot a couple of them. The ones I shot had the 30 round "sticks".
Bender2 would probably know the answer to your question.

Let me count the seconds before this border agent ends up in the clink. All it will take is one phone call from the Mexican Administration to Bush or Gonzales and the jail door will slam shut.

Hmmm... interesting overfocus on the weaponry.

I noticed that too. I suspect the writer has issues with guns.

After the struggle he grabbed a softball-sized rock... The man raised the rock as if to throw it... it was at “pretty close range.”...A lighted Molotov cocktail that did not explode was found near the scene after the suspects fled

It sounds like a very dangerous situation the agents found themselves in.

Just ask Reginald Denny if a "softball-sized rock" can do any damage to your face and skull?

The man raised the rock as if to throw it, according to reports, and the agent shot him once with the assault rifle.

Never bring a rock to a gun fight.
