Your woe-is-me-I'm-a-man statement neglects one really obvious and glaring fact.

This woman is already serving a life sentence for murder and now has another one tacked one without the possibility of parole.

Clearly the Lifetime Rule was unknown to the jury.

You make it sound as if she was convicted, released, then killed again. She committed two murders before she was tried and convicted. The fact that she researched, planned, and executed murder on not one but two people and concealed both crimes should have been enough to bring at least one death sentence.
