Oh, I agree completely.
I cannot imagine why any evangelical would vote for Rudy in the primaries.
But if they stay home during the general? Then they deserve the regional minority party they will have inherited.
I've held my nose in just about every general election, voting for the lesser of two evils. Is that too much to ask from these folks?
Asking people NOW to support someone in November 2008 before any primaries are held, and before several other candidates have entered the race is ridiculous. I would never agree to vote for a liberal like Giuliani, under any circumstance. If the GOP really wants to win, they will nominate someone who can appeal to voters across the board.
I can only hold my nose for so long before I have to take a breath. Since I'm not a mouth breather, I have to let go of my nose at some point.
When would you say that point is? When a liberal with an 'R' behind his name gets the nod?
"I cannot imagine why any evangelical would vote for Rudy in the primaries."
I'm a right-wing Jewboy gun nut and I wouldn't vote for that liberal loser, either.
