It wasn't because of ill feelings toward each other. The sister just didn't want to go through the process even though she was tested and was a perfect match.

My husband has terminal cancer, his brothers would go to any lengths to save him.

That is certainly her prerogative and I can't fault her for her honesty. It's just very foreign to me.

In thinking about this from the other side, I think the brother and his family publicizing this is just as bad. In looking at this from a personal perspective, if someone didn't want to donate to me, I'd be disappointed...but I'm not sure I could be hostile about it since "they own it."

What an ugly situation...made worse by bringing in the press. Blech.
