Yes, someone here recently pointed out that it isn't what you did, it's who you know. I wonder what Ted Kennedy said in his confessional after Mary Jo Kopechne was drowned?

I'll be interested to see it. Considering the Citgo/Chavez ties didn't seem to hurt him it makes me wonder who's on the list.

Oh, don't worry. Everybody has done weird things like boinking their second cousin for 14 years, then divorcing her 'cause of consanguinity issues and announcing the divorce on TV before telling his wife. The voter are sure to forgive this tiny quirk.
Besides, this is old news. Can't we move on?

2. Giuliani's refusal to release his client list at this point. Who's on it and why the reluctance? He's been quoted as saying his campaign will look over the paperwork and release what they're legally required to. Why the secrecy?

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Rudy also had all of his mayor records trucked to a warehouse where they are kept out of access to the public, in defiance of NY sunshine laws. Very reminiscent of the Clintons.

We don't need another president who thinks he is above the law.

He is a vice addict. A common affliction of politicians in America 2007 A.D.

As the primary elections near, you will see some very damaging TV commercials that will remind us of his Citgo/Hugo Chavez ties, his gun-grabbing, and his pro-abortion stances. Right now is too soon to air those TV commercials, as it would only serve to inoculate his candidacy. Better left until the peak campaign season, just prior to the primary elections.

I would imagine that the law firm Bracewell & Giuliani has represented some governmental agencies that have confiscated private property. That will be an interesting story for conservatives who want to uphold property rights.

Why is this so difficult to understand?

Oh, he understands it just fine.

Remember when Hillary tried to blame Monicagate on the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, even though she knew damn well the allegations were true?

Burtsb is doing the same thing here - blaming all this on some Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy, even though all this is true. It's what you do when you've got no other card to play. That and call it old news.

Get it out now. If it does not play then there will be Fred and Jindal in '16.

Dear TommyDale,

"Thanks for that clarification."

You're welcome.

"So they could have had the Church approve it, but they didn't."

Certainly.

Some impediments can't be overcome. No matter how many times you try to marry your sister, the Church will not ever recognize the marriage as sacramentally valid. No matter how many Adams try to marry how many Steves, it will never be a valid Catholic marriage. There are some things that can't be done.

But marrying your second cousin is an impediment that can be removed with the dispensation of the local bishop. And in the case of folks where the defect in marriage is discovered long after the wedding day, the preference is ALWAYS to grant the dispensation after the fact and regularize the marriage.

The desire to declare the marriage null comes from the two parties to the defective marriage.

Thus, it's a little hollow when folks make it seem like Mr. Giuliani just couldn't remain married to Mrs. Giuliani I, because they were second cousins. Sometimes when I read this, it sounds like he's trying to give the impression that he was required to divorce and obtain the declaration of nullity, almost as if that were necessary to remain a good Catholic.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Church always favors what perfects the defective, what elevates, what heals, what completes.

In the case of Mr. Giuliani and Mrs. Giuliani I, the issue of sanguinity was an excuse to get out of a marriage, not a bar to valid Catholic marriage.

Odd to see the coordinated non stop attacks and promotion of the Rudy bashers, the Clinton smear machine, the DU/Kos Kids pests, and the liberal-socialist media-crats).

You left out the small cadre of local yokels. :)

Rudy is very popular, and so he is feared by his enemies. He'll ride this out. He's tough.

Sounds like you're an expert on DU.

But you know squat about us conservatives.

Perhaps you signed on to the wrong web site.

I am surprised at how little blood this reporter managed to draw. Either he is lazy and/or incompetent, or there really isnt the flood out there that the RAT media wants us to believe.

The idea that the cited issues make Rudy "weird" as compared to someone like Hillary is truly laughable. And I suppose that this reporter thinks that a guy who regularly blows his fuse over next to nothing and looks into caucusing with the other party after losing the 2000 GOP presidential primary is completely normal.

So Rudy was busy hooking up with his cousin in 1993, huh?

Now, what else was happening in NYC in 1993?

Anyone care to guess the answer?

In recent interviews, Nathan has spoken suggestively about their relationship, calling him the "Energizer Bunny" and posing in a deep kiss with him.

Sickos. Even sicker than the Rutards who are telling me that I have to vote for this autocratic pervert or the entire universe as we know it will cease to exist.

The best part of what you write isn't that he did all those things -- but that you didn't include enough! It should have been:

Everybody has done weird things like boinking their second cousin for 14 years, then divorcing her 'cause of consanguinity issues. Then marrying an actress and having two children with her before announcing your filing for divorce on TV before telling his wife.

Sigh ... good times.

I remember reading that. I was struck by the fact that he had his records transferred so that they could be included in The "Giuliani Center for Urban Affairs", but I don't know if it is in existence yet or if the papers are still in a warehouse in Queens.

This specific item raised a huge warning flag with me, and convinced me that there is something seriously wrong with these people.

I won't say anymore about it for now -- but remember . . . I'm warning y'all about this.
