I view this as typical Dim politics. The black candidate, Obama, can call for this investigation trying to broaden his base while the white candidates, Clinton and Edwards, don't dare for fear of alienating the black vote they will need. Clever on Obama's part, but of course this would also give the AG cover to conduct such an investigation without being accused of only doing so because the defendants are white.

I agree, it is clever. It will be brilliant if he (Obama) can force clinton, Edwards and the DNC to take a position.
Not that the media would tell us if they did.
If, however, he can weave this inot a debate......
