I don't really see why everyone is so upset. He's basically saying they charge more in the UK because they can. He's saying Americans are cheap...but what that really means is that Americans aren't stupid enough to pay over $800 for something because of the hype, where people in the UK will.

I don't see what the problem is either.....I thought he was saying that labor is cheap in the US and he was complaining about the high tax rate. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it was just poor word choice and it didn't come across well in print.
