Yep, I'm one of those thousands of cheap Americans who bought my grandsons a Nintendo Wii last Christmas, which they have throughly enjoyed. Why pay twice as much for the Sony product when the younger set enjoys the Wii for a lot less? I'm sure these comments were also a slap at Walmart, because everyone knows they are to blame for the rise of the American bargain hunter.

I'm glad your grandson's are enjoying the Wii. It's not like the Wii is an equal product for over half the price. The Wii can do about half of what the ps3 can do ;)

The price is a red herring for Sony's woes. At launch, there just weren't any impressive games for the PS3, even still there aren't that many games that make people want to spend 600 bucks on a system. I think the ps3 will be the tortoise in this race though.
