It's just my own personal opinion but if my wife or close family member had an incurable fatal disease I would not be running for the highest office in the land. Other things would occupy my mind.

in time she won't be able to continue with the campaign .. till then she will try to live life as normal for her as possible

That is when Edwards will really have to make the decision .. quit and stay with his wife ... or think only about himself

Exactly how I feel, he has plenty of Money, and they are both Attorneys. His Wife is doing this for him, in the notion that he will never get the chance again, and she could not take that away from him even if it cost her the rest of her life. I believe it is too early for them to be thinking straight. There is no way that a hectic campaign and days away from a sick wife and Young Children is good for anyone involved. They both sound unrealistic and a bit nuts. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and wait a few weeks while they have time to get off their heels from the punch in the stomach they just received before I will rethink their motivation. Right now it is just too early to make life altering decisions on such a huge dilemma. Right now he looks icky to me, and I never liked him before this matter arose.
