Our plane collided with a Chinese fighter and was forced by damage to land. Chinese territory was the ONLY place it could land. It was NOT "forced down". The two situations were not even remotely similar and trying to create a false analogy between the two is absurd.

The Chinese plane collided with our plane in interational waters. They initiated it. They held the crew for 11 days and have never returned the plane. They claimed that we violated their air space. Here is a partial list of Cold War incidents that led to the death or imprisonment of Americans

As for the North Koreans and the Pueblo, perhaps we would not some 40 years later still be in a state of near war with them IF ONE TIME, the State Department pukes thought about the problem instead of mindlessly reaching for the same failed playbook time after time after time after time.

The buck stops in the WH. The State Department implements foreign policy and is only one of many foreign affairs agencies involved in making recommendations to the WH and the NSC. That's the way our government really works.

How about THIS time we try something DIFFERNT in response to an open violent breach of International Law then patting the offending party on the head and buying them off?

Different circumstances deserve different solutions. We did bomb Libya after the Berlin Discoteque bombing.

Not true.

America flew in a cargo aircraft, the plane was disassembled by technicians and brought back to the states. The critical gear was tossed into the sea before the aircraft in question landed in China. What remains is rusted out airframe, engines, tires. Nothing of remaining value is still in China.
