There was a decent segment on CNN Late Edition today with DeGinova (Victoria Toensing's husband), and Lanny Davis. Joe was great, and Lanny was reasonable. Wolfie was an idiot.

But...at the end of the segment, Lanny said the real people that the democrats should be going after Was Senator Dominici and the female pubbie rep (whose name escapes me, Wilson maybe?). Anyway, Joe didn't say much about it. Lanny was making the point that they are guilty because they called that attorney and asked about some cases. Joe said he would have told them to go to hell, but he failed to bring up the memo that Schumer wrote to Fitzy asking him the status of the CIA leak case. Of course, Lanny and Wolfie didn't mention it either.

This is the stuff that drives me CRAZY. The double standard is amazing. They go after Dominici for asking about a case, and ignore Schumer for doing the same thing.

An Op-Ed piece declares support for the war but not the troops: "Need I remind the reader that it is our flag, not the troops, that we salute? It is our nation-state, not a bunch of 20-year-olds in parachute pants, that deserves our allegiance.... I support the occupation, and the occupation alone, because when we start to support the troops, we pave the way for irrelevant concerns about their families back at home.

Since Schumer and Russert do not practice Law, they can probably say that they have not kept up on things like this that they did that first Year Law students could tell you were no no's. Russert saying that he did not know that you cannot take a Lawyer into the Grand Jury with you. He was lying, but he and Schumer are so dense and so totally blinded by partisan mindset that they could have wiped out half of what they learned just trying to keep up with their partisan lying.
