Interesting that in the frontier days, people were considered irresponsible if they didn't keep a loaded gun, ready to fire at moments notice, right on hand. Kids knew how to shoot early on and you don't hear of school shooting incidents like you do today.
Yeah, I'm sure there were accidents, they happen and that's why they're called *accidents*, but I can't help but wonder if the death rate from accidental shootings is lower that the death rate from being murdered because one can't defend oneself.
It would be great if this story got half the attention of the Jim Zumbo Story or Cindy Sheehan!

This could have been prevented if the initial crime against his wife and children had been prosecuted.
I think most everyone shares my feelings about this.
Good thing I don't know about this fellow, because doing some years for murdering the b****** with a pitch fork would be okay with me.
