Interesting. I have to wonder why Mel crossed the Aztec rituals over to the Mayans. I guess to make a big movie, huh.

I thought it was a great touch. And I took it to mean that the movie isn't about the Mayans at all. Many people on this thread and elsewhere are praising this film and looking down on the Mesoamerican civilizations and their human sacrifices while we sit here in the mist of a civilization that has sacrificed millions (abortion) on the altar of expediency. The movie takes a strong stance against mass murder and clearly delineates good and evil. The leftists truly hate that but we conservatives have little to be proud of when we compare our civilization to theirs.
