Well, they did do those things, but they did a lot of other things too. Gibson is just obsessed with violence and gore, so that's the only part he was interested in foucsing on. Says a lot more about Gibson than about the Mayans. The students shouldn't have dignified this egomaniacal crank with their attendance, much less by actually attempting to communicate with him.
