Bush can and will demand a clean supplemental and veto and veto until the pork is stripped from the bill.

The RATS have until April 15; after that, the blood of American soldiers in Iraq is on their hands and they are terrified of the political consequences that will result to them.

Bush is holding all the cards on this. Today was pure theatre.

It remains to be seen what a cutoff of funding from a practical standpoint would do as far as the troops on the ground are concerned. They will certainly have the means to defend themselves. The question is about offensive operations and deployments.

Bush is holding all the cards on this. Today was pure theatre.

We shall see how it plays out in the MSM. If the Dems get positive feedback from the polls, they may hold to their position, i.e., you get the money with a withdrawal date next year.
