Poll based on 800 un-likely to vote un-employed liberals who were at home watching Judge Judy, waiting for the mailman to deliver their welfare checks, when we called between March 21-22.

:O)

Wow, you really believe that? Rudy is pro-abortion, pro-gay and anti-gun. That's a "good choice"?

Absolutely, he's a great choice. Of course I don't buy the hysteria of the "gun grabber" nonsense...and I am in favor of abortion being legal, albeit with parental notification, a partial birth ban in place and Roe Vs Wade being overturned.

It's more important to me that we have a president who will confront Congress on entitlement reforms, take on the teachers unions in order shove vouchers and school choice down their throats....and of course kill ragheads.

"...I don't buy the hysteria of the "gun grabber" nonsense..."

I don't trust ANYONE to lead this country if he doesn't even understand the 2nd Amendment. All it would take is one guy who decides we don't need our guns, and one Executive Order. No thanks!

7. I'm very worried about a Thompson run
We'll not flip any red states if we put up one of our three so-called front runners against him - and we have to do that to win.

Groan.

OK, let's see: you are not concerned about the 2nd Amendment, you are pro-abortion, and you want the president to "kill ragheads." Thanks for clarifying your positions.

Well, so much for the Rudybots' argument that "only Rudy can beat Hillary!"

I thought everyone here has decried all the polls as not worth the bandwidth? I can't imagine why the sudden acceptance.

Does it seem a bit unsettling that the Republican candidates that lead in the polls are either liberal (Giuliani) or haven't even declared yet (Thompson, Gingrich)

Either the polls are manipulated (possible), the average man on the street Republican is clearly uninformed (probable), or the respondants are reacting to name recognition without much real thought (most likely of all).

I fear for our Party's future.

Why?

I think Fred WILL be a formidable candidate.

As you note, polls are only meaningful to those that gain from them! LOL!

I believe Fred scares the heck out of the Rats and they are trying to play down any chance he has as early as they can.

Thus, I believe it is a phony poll.

I think this says more about Hillary Clinton's weakness than anything else.

This is a "before" snapshot for Thompson, and if I were him, I'd be greatly encouraged by it.

Geez, talk about putting the cart before the horse!

Is that like trying to teach calculus to prostitutes?

All that aside, do you seriously think for one iota that if Fred Thompson is already polling that high, that he won't now decide to run?

I don't believe I said that.

As far as I'm concerned, indicating you're running and filing papers is running. I don't believe Thompson has done any of that. I wish he would, but he seems to be the kind of guy who will do things according to his own timing, not everyone else's. I like that.

I don't know. I've never tried to teach calculus to a prostitute. Or to a horse, for that matter.
