Who needs coffee? Just read this and you'll be awake for days. Sometimes our way of life and the world as we know it seem so fragile, the balance between order and chaos so precarious.

Considering Pakistan's enmity with India, both nuclear powers, and the fact that re-incarnation is a belief widely held in both countries, I've been quite concerned for quite a while.

Great, but disturbing, read.

In a nutshell, the problem is that the Pakistani government is incapable of conquering its own country.

Not "if", rather, "when".

Dissolving Pakistan and putting the FATA under an American protectorate should have been job #1 after 9/11.

It's going to be very hard to do, now.

No surprise here. The official name of Pakistan is: The Islamic Republic of Pakistan and its capital is Islamabad. Based on my personal experience, I have found the Paks to be among the most zealous of Muslims. They burned down our Embassy in 1979 on a rumor that Amercians had taken over the Kaba in Mecca.

Without a doubt, Waziristan will be the origin-point of any nuclear weapon detonated (God forbid) in an American city. If we don't apply some serious megatonnage to the so-called 'tribal areas' of Pakistan soon, we will pay the price - we should get them before they get us.

Memo To: People of Pakistan
Memo Fr: You KNOW who

Subject: The "absence" of Musharraf

Be advised, in the event of the death or "removal" of Musharraf by ANY means --- I strongly advise that one who will honor all existing agreements between our two countries, replaces him IMMEDIATELY..

Failing that -- in the interest of self preservation I will be forced to order a strike against all facilities and centers within Pakistan that represent a threat to the United States in the event they fell into the hands of militant Islamists (most of Pakistan).

Think carefully, act wisely and survive..

India and Pakistan have always been at the top of the list for "most likely conflict to go nuclear," by Pentagon wargamers.

Little ole me read that over twenty years ago; I'm sure you all have read this also.

One of these days.....

Umm,where did you get the reincarnation part from??It's the kind of stuff associated with outdated stereotypes.Pakistan's N-programme was started with Chinese help & financed in part by Saudi Arabia & Libya(go to the Gadhafi stadium in Lahore).India's N-programme came into being after China started building nukes.

A lot of people who OVEREMPHASISE Mushy's importance forget a very crucial fact about the Pakistani army-It's primarily a Punjabi enterprise with Punjabis making up close to 65% of the officer corps(with Pashtuns another 20%).Musharraf is a Mohajir-a person who fled present day India for Pakistan. They are generally looked down upon in Pakistan.

In other words,Musharraf needs & has got the support of the Punjabi officer cadre. If he is bumped off, expect another general to take over.Pakistan is nowhere as unstable in the short term as most people think. As B.Raman said & he worked with India's external intelligence agency. That does'nt mean everything is hunky-dory.The Army is getting fragmented along the expected secular-Islamist lines & Pakistan is getting increasingly restive along ethnic lines.Expect serious trouble in the next decade or so.

What you've said about nuking the "tribal areas " of Pakistan is abhorent.....but has been my gut feeling for some time.

Let me add that there is nothing about that "culture" in the NW territories that is worth saving.

If I were a woman there, I would rather be dead, and I would prefer that any daughter I had be dead, rather than have to live the depraved life that they are forced to live.

Children there are regularly sodomized, male and female; avoiding "regular" sex with the females allows them to remain Virgins.

They have resisted any "enlightenment." Contrast this with the former headhunters of Papua New Guinea who have been converted by the thousands to Christianity. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1802697/posts
