I've got a question. How far in advance did the Iranians have to plan this, to co-ordinate an assault with six ships? How did they know where the Brits would be? And nobody smelled a rat, if we have any satellites over the Gulf, when they saw six Iiranian ships stooging around?
You have been watching too much Patriot Games. Sats don't operate like that. The Iranians patrol 24/7 in those waters. It is routine for Iranian Navy patrols to conduct right up to the waterways border zones.
