Good luck convincing folks that what he did was corrupt. Pork maybe, but if that is the case, all members of congress would be in jail. $7000 in campaign contributions over several years is peanuts.

I don't know why you pulled the $7000 number out to post, when the article clearly ALSO states:

"Between 1992 and 1997, Audre employees and family members donated $77,000 to members of Congress.Rep. Duncan Hunter"

It is clear to me that Hunter is the typical politico; accepting contributions of large proportions, through various screened contributors to funnel them, and rewarding specific donrs with millions in contracts.

I don't know where Fred Thompson has done the same....
