I think they are both stunned and on autopilot. Just four days ago, life was "normal"...and then this.

I thought they LOOKED stunned. My Dad was on the receiving end of a cancer diagnosis that included the word "incurable" at the age of 62. It is a surreal experience.

I agree. Suddenly the world turns upside down and you do your best to try to hang on to the routine. Anyone who has had a friend or loved one touched by cancer can empathize with their plight. I hope for a miracle for them.
