Watch Edwards milk this for every tear, vote and advantange like the oily personal injury attorney he is.

Read another way: "Edwards, ignoring his wife's suffering has decided not to let her cancer interefere with his endless stroking of his narcissism."

even though his wife Elizabeth has suffered an incurable recurrence of the cancer that struck her in 2004.
I wish Elizabeth Edwards and her family all the best in dealing with this disease. Hopefully treatment will result in a remission of her cancer soon.

Imagine if Edwards became the front-runner and then won the nomination and then won the presidency.
Does his wife's health problems take a back seat to her husband's ambitions for the next six years? I don't think she has time.
It will be best for the Edwards' if he doesn't get the nomination. He's still young enough to run in 2012 as a widower.

Stage IV cancer? I also wish her well but she'd be extremely lucky, to say the least.

I have a great deal of sympathy for his wife. But if the Breck Girl continues his campaign if her illness becomes worse and tries to turn it into political capital he will unequivocally prove to the thinking half of this country's population that he is truly without conscience and is lower than whale $hit on the ocean floor.

Some Democrats had indicated Edwards would at least suspend campaign activities while the couple dealt with the cancer, but Edwards said he would head out on a campaign trip on Friday.
Un freakin believable.

It's disgraceful that someone who doesn't even need to work would willingly take to the campaign trail while his wife is dying and his small children (around 6 and 8) are left without a parent to care for them while she undergoes treatment.

What a complete jackass. His wife may die and all he can think of is his stinking ambitions.
Pig.

Sad indeed, and definitely not honoring to his marital vows.

I'll give him this, he is a distant third and has gotten the public's attention again.

This is a tough situation for his family. I'll give him the benifit of the doubt. Could be she doesn't want him to stop campaigning and wants what is left of her life to be as normal as possible. Not to have the family life become a death watch for her but to go one as normally as possible.

"Un freakin believable." Need I remind you that he is a lawyer?

"...I'll give him the benefit of the doubt...."
That is what he is counting on. He is exploiting the natural compassion and sympathy of the voters like he used to do with juries.

If this were my Wife I would never leave her side. She would be so sick of me she would be ready to go.
