Oh please...

The topic is whether the people cede a great deal of authority over to governing bodies in order to secure freedom.

By the time that we cover the Federal Constitution, State Constitutions, Federal codes, State, county, and municipal codes, traffic laws, business regulations, etc, I'd say that we have ceded a GREAT DEAL

No, the topic, when it got to the constitution, started when I addressed how his statement was the antithesis of the founding principles of this country. That means the US constitution, not state constitutions. First you tried to tell me the constitution did that, and then when that was deflated, you tried to make it about state constitutions.
