The Scripture is not wrong. However, you made a statement about Mrs. Edwards not being a "child of God". Then you used scripture to support your statement. All sin is offensive to God. However, according to the Bible, God's forgiveness extends to sins including murder, stealing, homosexuality, etc. Even the scripture you quoted shows that. We are all children of God. Some of us sin more than others, but we all sin in one way or another. I don't think one sin trumps another when it comes to God's forgiveness of our sins.

You seem to believe that if someone sins, they are no longer a child of God.

No, I believe that someone who is not following Christ is not a child of God.

Mrs. Edwards may be a good person but she is certainly not a follower of Christ. That is all I intended by my original comment. I have no animosity towards her at all.

For one thing, every human being has the not so proud distinction of being in her shoes if not presently, then in the past.
