Reading on another thread, I did not notice that he did not touch her during his little presser.

I noticed that too. I was wondering why they weren't holding hands at such a time. For two people who have been together for 30 years and as he said, have been through other difficult times during those years, you'd think that the least he could have done was take her hand.

We watched his announcement at a restaurant. We couldn't hear the television so we just made up the content...still I'm shocked that we were right. And I didn't see him take his wife's hand, put his arm around her or do any thing else that might defy the callousness of his intentions.

I did notice that and thought that was REALLY cold

I'm not saying they have to get all touchy feelly

But at least hold her damn hand

I noticed that. She reminded me of an abused wife/enabler. "If I'm nice he will like me" She looked diminished and frail already. I think the second two children were conceived as props, and they are not being given any consideration as human beings with needs by their parents.

I also think that the huge house was designed to handle the press corps and the secret service, in a gross imitation of Crawford.
