I read that Duke has seen a significant decrease in applications, something on the order of 10%. Not nearly enough, but a good start. When my kids were college shopping they were very much put off by Duke. Several people we know who went to Duke have stopped giving them money because they're disgusted with the administration and the general atmosphere there.

I don't think it's a coincidence that their basketball team exited in the First Round of the NCAA tournament this year.

I stopped giving them money after Terry Sanford and his presidential privilege admission list was revealed just prior to Sandford using Duke to land in the US Senate.

Duke's Sanford was the original Terrible Terry RAT liberal Democrat until Terry McAwful managed to replace him with his Global Crossing, Clintanoid-shilling and DNC shenanigans.

You're right, it's a start, but it would have to get somewhere like 60% for it to really hurt a university.
