Funny. I guess it took her 6 years to realize the conflict of interest?

"Perhaps Feinstein is trying to disassociate herself from MILCON's incredible failure to provide decent medical care for wounded soldiers."Here's the real reason!!

The focus has been on Iraq War Veterans. Are we to assume that the hospital all went to s*** after Jan 20, 2001?

The headline is misleading.
For a moment I was elated - thinking she had resigned from the senate.

"She regularly took junkets to military bases around the world to inspect construction projects, some of which were contracted to her husband's companies, Perini Corp. and URS Corp." and "
While leading MILCON, Feinstein had ample warning of the medical-care meltdown. But she was not proactive on veteran's affairs." CORRUPT B*TCH....that's all I can say

As MILCON leader, Feinstein relished the details of military construction, even micromanaging one project at the level of its sewer design. She regularly took junkets to military bases around the world to inspect construction projects, some of which were contracted to her husband's companies, Perini Corp. and URS Corp. Boy, she sucks ass.
Using taxpayer money to fly around as a consultant for her husband's company, making sure she's floating him the maximum amount of our money for each project.
She makes me want to puke.

I thought this was pretty interesting. It seems she resigned from the committee first because it can no longer benefit the family and second because she had responsibility for certain things that she now wants to disassociate herself from.

Got my hopes up! Not that Gov Schwarzenegger would appoint a conservative if there were a vacancy. But perhaps if he appointed any Republican, even a "moderate," there would be some marginal improvement.

Ike Skelton said that Veteran's spending under Bush was up over 49% than that of the previous administration.

"How bout an ethics investigation."
Now you're being silly, as is this article, she's a democrat, therefore her motives are pure and she's above reproach. No investigation necessary nor will one be asked for.
