This story has the additional information of the demand that Fox basically get rid of Gretchen Carlson and give her the slot. Actually it would have been a good move but that was not something her agent should try to push through.
ED Hill was better than Carlson. I can't prove this but the older female reporters seem to get smaller and smaller roles until they are let go. Maybe Kiran will replace Paula Zahn.
