The winner'll be a homeless plumber from Baltimore in a Taurus rental... came in for some free coffee, and the next thing ya know, they're squirting beer in his face in winner's circle.
On the up side, I picked him for my team.

Actually, I'm up to make sure we don't have a runaway Nascar thread. Can't be too careful.

It's really sad that no one had 1 minute to respond to this post or the next one.

This COT stuff looks like Saturday night at the big parking lot behind walmart with a bunch of ricres hanging out before the po-po show.

Prayers up for Kelly E.
What is the surgery for, WCG? It must not be good if she's having it done on a race weekend friday.

Cyst on her pancreas.
They say it's benign but these darn things can be a problem.
It's not an easy surgery depending on where the dang thing is.

A dear friend of mine had severe complications from that same surgery. Took her a couple of years to get back up to speed, though she has never reached 100%

Did it occur to y'all that the race could be canceled due to the fact Brains France will not be able to inspect more then 6 cars prior to the start of the race.
And that could be good when you look at some of the picks on the Fantasy League today. Several even picked drivers not racing this weekend..

From Jayski:
Dale Jr./DEI conracts on hold while sister is in hospital: Negotiations to re-sign with the company his father built isn't #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s top concern at the moment. The health of his sister is. Kelley Earnhardt Elledge, who has been negotiating the new deal at Dale Earnhardt Inc. (DEI) with her brother, is scheduled to undergo surgery Friday. "My sister is in the hospital right now, so we're going to have to put everything on hold for a while," Earnhardt Jr. said Thursday at Bristol Motor Speedway. "She's going to be in the hospital for a couple of days. We'll be watching that pretty closely. Everything in life is on hold until that gets better."
Representatives of DEI would not discuss specifics of the surgery, only to say that the family was concerned. A source close to the situation said a benign cyst was discovered on Elledge's pancreas last week. Elledge's situation has forced the postponement of several negotiation meetings the past week and a half. But sources close to the situation said the meetings prior to that had gone well and that Teresa Earnhardt, Earnhardt Jr.'s stepmother and the owner of DEI, was actively involved. "Our No. 1 priority right now is for Kelley to have a speedy recovery," said Max Siegel, the vice president for Global Operations at DEI.(ESPN.com)(3-22-2007)

The drivers not entered stand the same chance as those not qualifying and you don't use up your good drivers!
