This is what people, deep down, are craving. People are tired of the BS, the political-correctness, the Washington double-talk, etc. I think Fred Thompson brings a lot to the table and will attract people from all political stripes. Even some liberals will vote for him.
Plus he's an imposing figure. If he runs, the Presidency is his to lose. None of the other candidates have a chance.

I think you're totally right on this. I hope he can see this too, and I hope he gets that "fire in the belly". Looking at all the other prospects, at least the ones with a legitimate shot at winning, I am not very optimistic.
Looking at Fred Thompson and considering a potential Thompson presidency....makes me want to crack open a beer and light a big fat cigar....take a long big drag and a swallow of brew, give a big sigh of relief and think that at least for awhile the USA will be in good hands again.

name one Kerry state that Thompson can flip?
