wal bump
LOL.
Hey CC! Thanks for the ping!
Morning pal. Get a load of this crap.
WASHINGTON (AP) - A House panel on Wednesday approved subpoenas for President Bush's political adviser, Karl Rove and other top White House aides, setting up a constitutional showdown over the firings of eight federal prosecutors.
By voice vote and without dissent, the House Judiciary subcommittee on commercial and administrative law decided to compel the president's top aides to testify publicly and under oath about their roles in the firings.
The White House has refused to budge in the controversy, standing by embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and insisting that the firings were appropriate. White House spokesman Tony Snow said that in offering aides to talk to the committees privately, Bush had sought to avoid the "media spectacle" that would result from public hearings with Rove and others at the witness table.
"The question they've got to ask themselves is, are you more interested in a political spectacle than getting the truth?" Snow said of the overture Tuesday by the White House via its top lawyer, Fred Fielding.
"There must be accountability," countered subcommittee Chairwoman Linda Sanchez, D-Calif.
The committee rejected Bush's offer of a day earlier that his aides could to talk privately to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, but not under oath and not on the record.
Would he fight Democrats in court to protect his aides against congressional subpoenas?
"Absolutely," Bush declared.
"Our reasonable offer that Mr. Fielding presented to Congress yesterday is our reasonable offer and nothing has changed during the 12 hours since Mr. Fielding spoke to the Congress," White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino said Wednesday. "If they are truly serious about wanting to obtain the facts, they have right in front of them the opportunity to do that."

Won't do them any good....the President won't honor them, and the SC will side with him.
This is clearly Executive Privilege.
You got it. What are the Dem's gonna do? Tie Rove up in a closet?
Howdy Everyone!
Thanks for the link CC; hope you and family are still doing well.

My thoughts of today:
Where do I begin? I have so many issues, there is the war; the economy; health; sending everything over to 3rd world countries that don't appreciate us; the spineless republicans we voted into office....there is a good place to start!
When I voted in this last election, I worked my butt off to get Santorum re-elected, and everyone I talked to said they were going to vote for him, but when you come from a rural area like I do, the big cities like Philly, Pitts, and Harrisburg wipe us out, so nomatter how you look at it, if one or two of these big cities don't back your candidate your lost.
I knew there were problems with the backbone of the republican party, I could see it in Frist, I wished they would have put Santorum in instead, but they didn't and Frist didn't have a backbone or the balls to come out of hiding the whole time he was there, nor would he support the President.
I don't have all the answers, wished I did, but I can tell you this, if they don't grow some back bone and balls soon, our party might as well fold up and go home, and I am a very conservative person, but you have to fight in love and war, neither are they doing.
When we go to the polls this time, lets make SURE the people we are voting for are worthy of our vote ie: do they have conservative values; do they have a backbone; do they support OUR beliefs. Lets not put in someone like Specter or the other rinos, and that means McCain and Rudy, sorry but I see rino all over the candidates that are running. We have got to find someone that has a backbone and that tell the other party to STFU once in a while to gain the respect of our party...
The War. We need to FINISH the war, we need to SUPPORT our troops, we sent them there, yes WE sent them there, by voting the people we did to Washington Doesn't Care, WE sent them there and like one of the tag lines on FR says: "If you can't stand BEHIND our troops, then please stand in FRONT of them!" Its that simple folks, and these idiots i
n the other party and their 'voting' for this and 'voting' for that is a joke, but do you think the rest of the people are going to look at it that way? NO, because the MSM isn't going to let it get out the way the stupidity of the libs make it look.
Another reason to be careful of who WE elect to send to WDC.
The enocomy is doing great, it won't be for long....the libs are already trying to ruin it, they want to ruin everything, they are totally for the terrorists and they are backing them 100 % and don't ever forget that....they are NOT for America, they are for power, their power, they are for whatever makes them look better than anyone else, they don't care if our troops have anything to fight with (Clinton sent them with no bulletts, remember?) and they don't care if the terrorists come over here, they do not care about anything but their own power and how great they look.
It all leads back to power....who has it and who doesn't. But if we the republican party don't start to open our eyes and start to kick some ass, serious ass, we are going to be sitting out a long
time wondering what happened.
Lets get together and start getting our party together, and voting for the RIGHT things, and not worrying about if its right or wrong to someone else, we have to take OUR PARTY BACK!
Well I'm down off my soap box, hope everyone can understand what is at stake here.....
If you have any doubts listen to the news of today.....insurgents using babies wrapped in bombs to kill people in Iraq, now if that doesn't make you sick, I don't know what would....
The libs in WDC are all supporting the enemy, they want Git-Mo shut down and those murderers treated like America people, yet we have 2 boarder guards in prison, and they want our enemy to walk free....
Watch who you vote for!
And the fight begins!
Morning. Nice post.
Like A.hun said, it's Executive Privilege.
Guess we will find out who is relevant now>
"House has issued subpoenas for Rove and others."
Now, what's a nice, political way to tell the traitorcrats to take their subpoenas, fold them twice any way they like and stick 'em up their nose?
Or,up their ass.
That to.
