Your "Point 4" has been refuted by the admitted inaccuracy of where the temperature readings were taken - only in areas of increasing populations and increasing "heat island" effects. This has horribly skewed the numbers over time, and there is extreme reluctance to admit it and or make the necessary revisions.

This has horribly skewed the numbers over time, and there is extreme reluctance to admit it and or make the necessary revisions.The combined land surface and ocean temperature anomalies show an increasing trend -- globally (with a smaller signal in the Southern Hemisphere). The ocean temperatures would obviously be unaffected by UHI.
