Fred Thompson is a good man, and has tremendous potential. He lacks experience however. Put him on a ticket with Rudy and the ticket lacks for nothing. A great combo.

I wouldn't exactly say a two-term Senator is lacking experience, but I do concede that he has no executive credentials. And I also agree that a ticket with both Thompson and Giuliani would at least get the GOP nod, and likely win in the general as well. But while I do like and respect Giuliani, I'm not so sure we should (or have to) settle for a moderate candidate at this point just to retain the WH in '08. I think we can win with someone with better conservative credentials. At the very least, I think we should try.

Bottom line for me: I'm voting for the most conservative candidate in the primary, and for whomever gets the nod in the general.

Lacks experience?
You need to check his record. He didn't start acting until after he finished his job as prosecutor and in between his congressional experience.
He's got more experience than Rudy and he's significantly more conservative than that pretender.

He (Thompson) lacks experience however.

Look at Thompson's resume and record, and you'll see that he is VASTLY more experienced, and more importantly - CONSERVATIVE, than the much vaunted (by the left-wing media and the RINO-rudy-ROOTERS) RINO-rudy is.
