Ahh, but we already are being told that RINO Rudy has been anointed as the nominee for the Republicans in 08. Any support for any other candidate, declared or not, is irrelevant and futile.
Only the Rudyphobic are claiming an annointment has occurred. That is the only way they can rationalize the massive unpopularity of the candidates they support. Of course, the supporter of a 2%er is going to claim the front runner was "annointed".
However, we were told months ago that McCain was the Annointed One.
Pointing out Quixotic candidacies is totally different from an annointment too. Supporting those candidates is futile if victory is the goal supporting them for other reasons including mobilizing the social conservatives or the far right is legitimate politics.
People have a right to proclaim the Houston Texans will win the Super Bowl next year but they cannot be expected to be taken seriously.
