Tough enough to take on the bad guys
Rudy tossed Yasir Arafat out of a city-sponsored celebrations saying, "I would rather not have someone who has been implicated in the murders of Americans there, if I have the discretion not to have him there. My only regret is that I wasn’t able to throw him out myself.” Rudy did the same to Fidel Castro. When a Saudi prince donated millions to 9/11 relief efforts and later suggested that United States policy in the Middle East may have been partially responsible for the attacks, Rudy returned the money.

Unlike the Democrats, who are too nuanced to acknowledge that the “bad guys” in life even exist, Rudy Giuliani knows how to identify a threat to safety and security and pound that threat into submission. Giuliani’s record on crime in NYC is well-documented; if Rudy is able to do to the terrorists what he did to the crime lords of New York City, Americans will once again be able to feel secure in an uncertain world.

MY2 I am using your post, but agreeing with you, so be cool, you know I luv ya :) so here goes.....

I know Jim and a lot of people here want a socon to be our nominee, and if that happens, wonderful, I will work my heart out for him (since there is no her).

But I also know that Jim and a lot of you hate the Dems, as do those of us who at this time are supporting Rudy.

I also, believe, unlike some of you, that Rudy is not going to take away my guns, nor will he do any more or less than any of our nominee's including Reagan regarding abortion.

What I do know is that if and I stress IF, he is our nominee, I believe he will adhere to most of things we believe in, regarding keeping this country safe, keeping taxes and interest rate for home buyers low, and will listen to us when we have a gripe.

While this is not what you want to hear right now, please think of the alternatives.

I was here in 99, although not a poster. I signed up but forgot my screen name, because at that time I was not forum literate, and I am basically not a super poster, as you can see from my history.

What I do know is, while I am a socon, I am also a realist, and I don't believe with my heart, that Rudy will damage us as some believe, no more than "W" has. BTW, I love "W", but he has not got the balls to stand up and fight, and I honestly believe Rudy does. You guys say he doesn't. But I believe he will do what he says. So far he has not changed his beliefs on social issues, but at least I know where he stands.

He is not pandering at this time, which I admire. I was a Romney fan to begin with, but he has flipped and flopped so much, I don't trust him.

Hunter, I think he is a wonderful guy, actually I love him, and I cry when he is legislating for our troops, but there are so many moderates, that he is truly an asterisk, and unless something of a miracle happens he is toast. Which is a sad reality.

To me, it doesn't matter if the Dems nominate Hillary or Osamabama, Rudy will not destroy us as a party, and might even surprise some people here.

While I love Rudy's moxie, I am not campaigning for him yet. I am really a Newt fan at heart, but He doesn't have the moxie either at this time.

I respect everyone's choices here, but I know that Reagan is turning in his grave seeing all this childish fighting over our nominee.

I know for a fact that I and anyone who is supporting Rudy right now, will unify behind our candidate no matter who he is, to defeat communism/socialism, which is the Dem platform we are seeing.

I have never and will not, demean any of our candidates at this time or in the future.

There is too much at stake to do so.

I would hope some of you would see that we are really on the same side, even though at the moment we have our favorites.

There are a lot of influential people within our party who are not reading or posting at FR anymore, due to all the infighting.

I know this for a fact, first hand!!!!

Jim, you have built a wonderful site here, I don't want to see it tumble into obscurity, after so many years due to infighting.

Debate is healthy, but calling people liberals, and baby killers is over the top. That would truly be sad.

It really hurts to be called names, when it is not deserved, because you see a bigger problem, other than social issues.

I am not condemning people for following their values, I am just saying that OUR values will definitely be compromised with a Hillbama presidency, whereas, with Rudy, Thompson,McCain,Newt, etal, we will have some say so.

My final thought is, everyone please be respectful of each other, we are not each other's enemy :)

I am very pained by all this turmoil here, and I think after the primaries, we will survive and be strong.

We will just have to unite at that time.

Can we?

I hope so!
