That was my first post which begs the question, why did you even respond then?

Either way, I walk away unswayed by you and maybe even a little more resolute in my position . So ask yourself, did I help or hurt my cause?

An honest man would have to say, he hurt it. Because you truly are.

"The bottom line is the hardcore Republicans will crush him on primary day."

Not if they can't unite behind one candidate to oppose him.

"Unfortunately, Giuliani's liberal tendencies detract from the fact that he does have a spine. "

I'm most worried that he will use the spine he has to push liberal issues!

Do you think NYC is better for having Rudy Giuliani as mayor?

"You are turning people off with your approach. You sound like one of those shrill libs who feels the need to shout everyone down."

Rudy sounds like the BIG LIB HE IS when he talks about amnesty for illegal aliens, gun control, abortion rights, and hate speech laws.

Thank you for responding.

I see Rudy as bringing many Americans together for a strong U.S.

"Agrees with the brady bunch on gun control
- Agrees with NARAL on abortion
- Supports Sanctuary City policies and mccain / kennedy amnesty bill
- Agrees with mccain / Feingold CFR
- Supports "hate crime" laws
- Global warming supporter

Which of those are on the conservative side?

Oh wait, he's talked tough on the WOT. No actual military or foreign policy experience.

And he's a tax cutter, but only for the tax cuts he likes."

CW, i like and respect you and have for many years, but i have to respectfully disagree. Rudy is one of the most divisive candidates i have seen in a long time.

President - Fred Thompson
Vice President - Newt Gingrich
Secretary of Defense - Tommy Franks
WH Press Secretary - Rush Limbaugh (I know...he wouldn't take the pay cut)
Secretary of State - John Bolton
Director of Homeland Security - Rudy Giuliani
Secretary of the Treasury - Walter Williams

There ya go.

The same could be said for Joe Lieberman on ALL counts...except - he's more socially conservative than Rudy.

Certainly. That has nothing to do with flashbunny's points.

Giuliani has no excuse for his stance on the 2nd Amendment. After cleaning up NYC, it would have been a prime opportunity to repeal the stupid gun control laws. Instead, he rabidly supported them.

Giuliani is despised by NYC liberals because he reduced crime and has an (R) after his name. Never mind that he's as liberal as they are on many issues.

"So ask yourself, did I help or hurt my cause? "

You aren't my target audience. I knew that from your first post. The people who emotionally latch onto rudy because of their fear of hillary or the WOT won't change their stance because of logic. You can't reason someone out of a position that they didn't reason themselves into in the first place. Many of the rudy boosters here have this 9/11 image of rudy in their heads and feel this "rudy is my knight in shining armor" complex that has nothing to do with his actual record or political orientation. They just want Rudy to come riding in on his white horse and save them, the damsels in distress (be they male or female) who are threatened by the evil Hillary or terrorists.

My aim is for the people who read and reason and think things through. I wanted to show them just how a rudy supporter "thinks" and acts, and how it's just like the way liberals do things when they're confronted by the truth. You played your role nicely.

"An honest man would have to say, he hurt it. Because you truly are."

Can you pass that one through "ask mr language person" and then get back to me on that?

Or was that more vinegar? See, I can't be so 'negative', but you can insinuate that somone is paying me to be against rudy. That's not mean at all. You're just defending your knight!

BTW, I've recently started posting my stuff on other boards. Real, principled conservatives and gun owners are my target audience. Many of them who were supporting or considering supporting rudy are either completely against him or will even work against him now. They're sending my stuff out to friends and relatives and posting it on their web sites. As I get more things to expose him, I'll spread it further.

The open borders stance by Rudy buries him for me out of the gate.

Pile on

Pro abortion
gun grabbing
pro gay.........might as well vote for a Dim, and then block their every move : )

What is it in the 20% that does not make him our friend?

"If there's one thing we should have learned from the current administration, it's the tragic risks we face when our leaders fail to listen to divergent views."

??!!!!!

Giuliani - NEVER. Thompson, Hunter, Gingrich - all seasoned, reasonable and PRINCIPLED men who ESPOUSE CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLE, rather than mirroring Democratic views.
