The last straw (for me) was when the 'Hawks (namely "Dollar" Bill Wirtz) allowed Pat Foley's contract to expire. Watching a Blackhawks broadcast just isn't the same without Foley's play-by-play analysis. Hopefully things will change for the better when Wirtz either dies, or sells the team. Somehow I doubt the latter will ever happen. I still cannot believe that Foley was let go. The current radio play-by-play guy is not bad. I have not been to a Hawks game since the late 90s. I am waiting for Wirtz and Pulford to become food for worms.
I don't know about you, but I really hate the United Center. I miss old Chicago Stadium. Ahh...what memories! The steepness of the balconies, the old organ, fans fighting and a hockey team with talent!

I can't get onto knew site. Who is doing 9 to midnight when Rusty H. takes O'reilly's 7-9 slot? They don't have next week's schedule on their website but I'm guessing either Laura Ingram (who's getting bumped for Miller) or Lars Larsen (who has midnight to 2 a.m. right now)

unline many public personalities, who tend to be slow witted and not notably intelligent. That would certainly fit David Lee Roth to a "t". LOL!

A good friend of mine has a winter rental in the Hamptons. He says he sees Roth now and then - noting he is shorter and fatter than I would think. Haha! He also bumps into OJ Simpson now and then.

You Chicago hockey fans have had it bad for, what, 20 years? Ever since Denis Savard, Chelios, Roenick, and Belfour have left you've had nothing. It comes down to ownership, and management: get rid of the lot of them. We Hawks fans have to wait for Wirtz and Pulford to expire. How can you promote a hockey team when "Dollar" Bill Wirtz refuses to televise home games in order to protect his (dwindling) season ticket holder base?
I will say this, Martin Havlat is fun to watch (the few times he is on TV).

Savage giving '24' pretty good airplay connecting scenes on the show to the political reality that we face currently.
Will probably continue to do so on future shows as long as the series continue to fire on all cylinders. Yea, Tark be sure to keep hand on volume knob.

Going opposite Rush for the live feed is no-man's land in radio. That being said, I usually listen to Dennis Prager in that slot every day, who I find 100x more interesting than Rush.
Indeed, I have called a radio show four times and three times I got through. I called into Prager twice and got through once,* and called Savage twice and got through both times. Just lucky, I guess!
* The time I didn't get on was when his screener, Ava, didn't like my observation, though another caller got in about 15 minutes later with my exact same point. And Prager loved it. GRRRRRR, I owe you one, Ava!

I'd do more than bump into OJ if I thought it was worth my time.

80 stations sounds like a good, healthy start. Good luck to him.

I will say this, Martin Havlat is fun to watch (the few times he is on TV). He's a great skater, with great talent, but he has very little help in the way of teammates.

Rush is tough competition for anyone but I think Miller knows that.
As for callscreeners, they are a strange breed. I kinda feel sorry for them sometimes.

He gets 80 stations right off the bat? Not bad.
He better be good, fast, or he'll be a big bust.

Have you ever been to a Reenactment?

Have you ever been to a Reenactment? I've been to one at Duncan Mills, CA and another one in Marin County featuring a Confederate/Union naval battle.

"You just gotta know it's either Lormand or Checkers." Nope, not me, for I admit it when asked, but I admire the person who did it. I don't know about Checkers however, I have not seen a post from him anywhere in a while.
If you guys want more of the same from me, keep this stuff up, and I'll be glad to make this thread an exciting one again.
I have lots of ideas for more graphics, slogans, and other goodies if you guys miss me so much.
