Funny....I just heard that Miller will be joining the line up on the station here that USED to have Savage Live. They will be competing for 2 hours, looks like.

Checkers hasn't posted in over a month. When he was on the Savage thread we couldn't get him to miss even a day. LOL!

True, but this season of 24 won't be released on DVD until the end of the year. Much faster to download 'em via the torrent sites. :-D

Savage is saying he also wants clean air and clean water too, but who doesn't? I was just in India in January, what a nasty place! You can't drink water from the well, there's a city pipeline (it's plastic, running from house to house) that sometimes has water and, oh oh, sometimes doesn't. The electricity cuts off randomly all day, and they said during the hot season it sometimes stays off the whole day!

I think of that experience whenever I hear someone say "clean water", hah, we don't know what "dirty water" really is, and what about "no water"?

Our hippy dippy's have no idea how good we got it here!

My Blackhawks still suck.

The last straw (for me) was when the 'Hawks (namely "Dollar" Bill Wirtz) allowed Pat Foley's contract to expire. Watching a Blackhawks broadcast just isn't the same without Foley's play-by-play analysis. Hopefully things will change for the better when Wirtz either dies, or sells the team. Somehow I doubt the latter will ever happen.

Miller's going to be on KNEW, Savage's home base as well. Starting this coming monday from 10 a.m. to noon.

He's going to be between Armstrong and Getty (morning show) and Savage.

You Chicago hockey fans have had it bad for, what, 20 years? Ever since Denis Savard, Chelios, Roenick, and Belfour have left you've had nothing. It comes down to ownership, and management: get rid of the lot of them.

Savage said he will never watch 24 again on one of his past shows, LOL! I knew he was full of it.

Art imitates life? Savage pointed out how on '24' Political Correctness obstructs us as exhibited so well last nite on 24 even when there's nukes missing and about to be activated.

24 seems to attempt to exploit all political angles which makes for very interesting plots, subplots etc., it's interesting observing my own PC reactions, cringing, to certain situations played out.

Well I hardly think that Dennis Miller could be as bad as David Lee Roth. I know he was a stupid putz to lose his Van Halen gig but c'mon!

I like Dennis Miller, especially his Weekend Update gig on SNL. LOL! I even liked his CNBC show. Like I said early, KNEW is going to start carrying him next week. He'll be on before Jerry Doyle and Dr. Savage.

I think Miller will do fine as he is a quick wit and an intelligent guy (unline many public personalities, who tend to be slow witted and not notably intelligent).

Still, 3 hours a day, every day, isn't easy. I like Miller and hope he does well, though I am a Savage fan primarily. Actually, I'd much rather see Mark Steyn get a daily radio show. His two big appearances on radio (subbing once for Rush and once for Hugh Hewitt last year) were excellent and very memorable. I would think if Steyn wants it, it's there for him.

Maybe he just enjoys his current lifestyle and doesn't want to have to be 'on' 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, for years. I can't say I blame him.
