First and only time I was in Vegas was in 1981 or 1982. Exhibiting at the Consumer Electronics Show or something like it. Remaining memories are:
1) Corporate colleagues insisted I gamble and gave me some tokens to gamble away, so I did. Lost them all, of course, just as I said I would. *\;-)
2) The pathetic (in the sense of sorrow and pity) hooker on a street-corner furtively mumbling "Wanna have a good time?" to every male who passed by. Don't know what brought her down to this, but something did and I hope my prayers for her deliverance were answered, and answered a long time ago.
I have no liking for Vegas.
You can be IN Vegas, and still not be OF Vegas.
It's my home, but I like Hooterville, because where I live, it's quiet and relatively free of crime. Although I suspect it won't be long before this property will have to be fenced. Still, the climate suits me. ;o])
I made it, whew just in time.
