I don't know what to think. Gonzalez has been just about the worst AG we've ever had. He has allowed people like Berger to go scott free and then did absolutely nothing to help Libby. That said, although under normal circumstances I would be more than happy to see him go, this is going to be a serious mistake. If you keep caving to the dems they will just become more rabid.

Gonzalez, as the "chief" of the department bears some blame for not having his people all on message. But the Republicans in the Senate need to be taken to task for allowing this made-up scandal to have any traction. How hard is it for people to learn the phrase:"US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President". That's all that ever needed to be said to Congress. The President asked for their resignations and he received them. It happens ALL THE TIME, and yet we have this hoopla and all because the Justice Department couldn't present a coordinated front.
