Republican officials operating at the behest of the White House have begun seeking a possible successor to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, whose support among GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill has collapsed, according to party sources familiar with the discussions.

I cant believe I am saying this but I agree, when do "they" start taking a stand against these rats, they include repub house, senate and WH
Why? Gonzalez was weak to begin with, and it doesn't help the White House that both the Republican's in Congress and the White House are caving in to all the Democrat lies.
I haven't checked the mail today to see if the milita was called up and therefore, now he's my CINC and I'm back under the UCMJ.
YOu want a Democrat?
How about Zell?
Don't bash Bush. He has had NO HELP from Republican Turncoats (Senators and House Reps).
They have tossed him to the wolves time after time for the past 5 years.
The Admin has had no choice but to take these ways out. You have to have help from the Republican Conference. Those traitor bastards are of NO help.
I don't agree with all his positions or decisions since he has been in office (then again, I'm looking through a straw size hole compared to him on a great many matters)... But I do trust the man....and I trust he makes decisions solely on what he thinks is best for this great nation (not himself). I respect that greatly.
Additionally your ugly comments of him being a "p*ssy"....belie the reality of a man / CINC who has shown the resolve of a slight few in our history....when it comes to standing firm in the face of much of the wrongheaded international community....along with standing firm against those within our own nation who have been incredulous in their lack of any intellectually honesty (regarding their constant attacks on him). Which includes a MSM who have given up all notion of reporting facts...
GWB has stood firm in this WOT...and this nation (and the world) is safer because of it. What he has had to deal with (and dealt with, with incredible class, dignity and a quiet strength) is more then 99% of other Americans could handle I dare say.
No, you may not agree with this man on a number of issues. But he is anything but what you so cavalierly described with your keyboard pot shot.
Just recess appt him for the duration of the term. It would be perfect.
Gonzales made the mistake of searching a congressional office. This is payback.
You'll just have to take my word for it, but the same people trashing Bush non-stop now are the same ones who were trashing him in 1999 BEFORE he even got the nomination.
Maybe that's because this president is busy standing up to the biggest and most dangerous enemies this country has ever had, and he's getting no support here at home either.
This board is reading more like DU every day.
Republicans don't know how to fight or they just have none left.
They depress me.
From the very beginning of this Atty mess, they have acted like a bunch of sniveling panzies. Even Hannity is frustrated at their ineptitude and submission.
Hate to see what they'd do with a few million islamofacists in the country.
They've had him isolated for a long time. Even as far back as the 2006 midterm elections. Many Republican's bought into the Democrat lies and come to the conclusion that President Bush was a liability to their personal re-election back into Congress.
Ohhhh........LOL.
ABSOLUTELY!!! And I'm sick and tired of the blame going every where BUT there. Limbaugh has become completely unlisten-able with his horrific rants on the Adminstration.
I can't believe this many people are so stupid as to not understand WHAT THEY THEMSELVES HAVE WROUGHT!!
Too many are going off the deep end...
I agree, it's very sad. I think he's just given up. He's been beat down too many times, but had he fought back from the beginning, they would have seen that he wasn't one to mess with-unfortunately, this hasn't been the case.
Who isn't to you?
I swear, that HAS to be a macro as many times as I've seen you post the EXACT same thing.
