Fred Thompson I am sure is a great American, but I simply don’t like his friends. First there was McLoony, then Howard Baker, then some other clown whose name I can’t remember, and as of yesterday or so, Senator Frist is in the picture. Birds of a feather DO flock together. As of today, I’ve never known it to be otherwise.

Frist is in the picture because they're both from TN - that's not at all a negative. Same with Baker.

That leaves McCain as the only disturbing one...but their friendship goes way back to the time when McCain himself was tolerable - before he revealed to all of us that he's crazy.

For Pete's sake, Howard Baker is his mentor and gave Thompson his first HUGE break in Watergate...Baker and Frist are very NICE Tennessee gentlemen......you'd be a rude fool not to be friends with them if you were Fred. geesh.
